Gold Medal of the Paris General Agricultural Competition in 2022, the Bielle brand’s agricultural white rum is made with passion on the small island of Marie Galante, with the greatest respect for family traditions. Also called ‘the island of a hundred mills’, this island located off Guadeloupe takes its name from the many sugar mills present and formerly active on these lands. Marie-Galante is one of those places where time seems to have vanished...

The Bielle distillery, very concerned about respect for the environment, tries to perpetuate an ancestral heritage: the reeds are thus meticulously selected and then cut by hand before finally being picked up by Cabrouets - the name given to traditional carts pulled by oxen and still used in Marie-Galante.

Upon arrival at the distillery, the fresh canes are then very quickly ground in order to extract their juice. At the end of this stage follows that of fermentation, slowly elaborated in a water bath then that of distillation, carried out in small copper stills.

Mouth

In the mouth, the delicious taste of freshly cut canes mix with subtle notes of local vanilla: a promise of a trip to this paradise island, if only for a sip.
